Help[Opinions] Myrna
Recently I've been loving the name Myrna and it's now close to the top of my list for a girl. I'd love to hear your thoughts on the name. What's your impression of Myrna? Do you think it's too strange to use a name which would be considered a term of endearment in a language used in my own country?
Also I'd really appreciate any middle name suggestions you have. You can look at my pnl if you like for an idea of my taste in names. Just now I've came up with Myrna Sophia, which I love the meanings of, but something doesn't quite sit right. I've been trying to find some way of liking my honouring names Mary and Janet / Jane / Shona if you can help with that.

I don't care for it at all. No concrete reason, I just don't like the sound.
As for it being a term of endearment in your country, "honey" is a term of endearment in English, and Honey has been used as a name in this country, though not that often and certainly not recently.

I don't like the name Honey, lol...
but I guess you're right, other people have used it, and it's much more obvious than Myrna is.
btw I didn't mean the meaning of Myrna would be known to the majority of Scots, but if I was in the Hebrides some of the Gaelic speaking locals might find it a bit weird.

...she's probably 30-something, and rather hip.
I don't think many people could pull Myrna off, but if you gave your potential girl a middle name that she could use as an alternate, then if she ended up not liking it or not fitting it, she would have a different name to fall back on.
Myrna Sophia is a little sing-songy, in my opinion.
I like Myrna Jane, but it might be considered a little so-so, since Jane is so often used as a filler mn. (I love Jane, personally.)

It's funny I would never have thought of Myrna as a name which is hard to pull off, but I realise the power of association and I don't know any Myrna's so I'm starting with a clean slate.
I like Myrna Isolde best of your combos and Myrna Mariette is also nice. I agree Myrna Marine has a ring to it but I can't shake the idea that it sounds like a potential name for some kind of mermaid doll! (yes my mind works in strange ways).
