I pronounce Eleanor EL-eh-nor. I love both Eleanor and Elena (as well as Eleni, though I'd probably use that as a nn). However, they're quite different in my mind, probably because I pronounce them so differently...Elena is eh-LAY-na to me, and seems much more exotic than Eleanor.
