I love all of the nns you list. But I have to vote for Peggy. It's my SIL's name and she's a dear. Plus, I like to root for the underdog and I've noticed Peggy usually gets the cold shoulder from most people.
If I really have to tell the truth, though, my secret wish is to say that Mairead is my favorite. But I think it's cheating to use a variant as a nn so I went with Peggy.

Some people are better Meg's than Peggy's and I wouldn't rule out nicknames if they suited her better.
Out of them all my favourites are Meg, Maggie and Peggy. The only one I really dislike is Madge. I also like Margaret as a full name along with nns Mar, Griet, Maisie and maybe even M.

I've always assumed that Daisy came to be a nn for Margaret because the French form of Margaret is Marguerite, and the French word for daisy is also marguerite. I don't have any documentation for this, but it seems unlikely to be a coincidence.

Aaack. I didn't realize that Maisie is a nickname for Margaret. I thought it was a name in its own right, and didn't know there was any connection. I also didn't think of Margo, because that seems like a separate name to me, though it's obvious its source is Margaret. I thought of Margo and Margaret as being like Nancy and Anne.
