Beatrice Portinari was Dante Alighieri's platonic love. Laura (de Noves?) was Francesco Petrarca's. I think Avis chose both names after them. And therefore, even though I don't particularly like Laura, I think this combo has its charm for that meaning.

You're 100% correct... that's exactly the reason I paired Beatrice with Laura :-)
