About six months ago, we noticed that Claude was getting sick ALOT, and just seemed very run down. Eventually we decided enough was enough and took her to the doctor. He seemed really worried and took some blood tests, and prescribed a general antibiotic, saying that he'd give Claude something more specific once the results of the tests came in.
We took Claude home, but she seemed to just get really tired and barely moved off the couch for the next few days. It was so strange, Claude was usually the ring leader in the rough and tumble games, and even then she had energy to spare. After a couple of days the doctor called and told us to get Claude straight to the hospital, because something suspicious had shown up in the blood tests, and they wanted to investigate.
Seb and I dropped the other kids off with a friend and took Claude in. It was terrifying, all sorts of horrible things started popping up in my mind, the kind of 'what ifs' that are a mothers worst nightmare. Hours of testing later, they had a diagnosis... Claude had developed diabetes! They said that it can just pop up sometimes in children, and even stranger, Claude could grow out of it too... but only time will tell on that one. For now, we're gettting plenty of advise from a nuitritionist on how to control the diabete's through Claude's diet.

Once the family found a big house in Italy and things started to settle down, Sebastian and Marina thought it was time for another baby. But conceiving wasn't as easy as before and they had started to consider another adoption, when Marina found out she was pregnant again. Imagine their surprise when they found out they were having quads! Her pregnancy was rather difficult and there were times in which she was really scared for her and the babies' health; but Sebastian and the children were very supportive. The babies were born at 28 weeks and came home after spending 3 weeks in the hospital. The Wentworths are trying to adjust to their new life, which includes tons of diapers and few sleeping hours. Dan and Roman are very proud to be big brothers, while Cathy and Annie can't wait for the babies to grow up so that they can have tea parties. :)

Once the family found a big house in Italy and things started to settle down, Sebastian and Marina thought it was time for another baby. But conceiving wasn't as easy as before and they had started to consider another adoption, when Marina found out she was pregnant again. Imagine their surprise when they found out they were having quads! Her pregnancy was rather difficult and there were times in which she was really scared for her and the babies' health; but Sebastian and the children were very supportive. The babies were born at 28 weeks and came home after spending 3 weeks in the hospital. The Wentworths are trying to adjust to their new life, which includes tons of diapers and few sleeping hours. Dan and Roman are very proud to be big brothers, while Cathy and Annie can't wait for the babies to grow up so that they can have tea parties. :)

Now twenty years old, the young woman made contact with her father, wanting to meet her half-sister. Elisabeth's mother knew of the affair and of the child; however, both she and Elisabeth's father were determined to continue making their marriage work, and so, they did.
Elisabeth was told the story by her father after he had heard from his daughter. He explained to her what had happened all those years ago and how her half-sister wanted to meet her. Shocked and rather disappointed in him, she still managed to move past the pain, knowing that her mother had done so, and she had known nothing other than the happy marriage of her parents.
After talking it over with both her parents, as well as her husband, Elisabeth made the decision to meet her half-sister, figuring that she was not at fault for the mistakes her parents had made. And so, the two met for coffee and found that they got along very well. In fact, she and Elisabeth are quite close now, and Elisabeth's kids adore their aunt.

Recently, during a discussion about the name of Jakob and Charlotte's new baby (a boy they called Leo Marley), Sienna announced that she wouldn't be having any children to the shock (and mild amusement) of both Jakob and Charlotte, that she wouldn't be having any children. Instead, she's decided to become a medical professionabl and has been working diligently towards her goal ever since. Jakob and Charlotte are incredibly proud of her work ethic and goal and are happy with her decision as long as she is content.
