Penelope -I love this name!
Arthur -So...angloboring to me.
Calixte- Never heard this before, but it sounds lick cow-lick. You know, like in your hair?
Allegra -this is my grandmother's mn. I love it.
Flavie -it's like a cutesy way to say flavor.
Philippine- people are from the Phillipine's. It's weird to me that someone could be named this.
Ladislas -this is a mouthful of 's'
Leopold -makes me think of the movie "Kate & Leopold" and then it seems so dated.
Olympe -Oh limp....
Hermine -Her mine, Him yours.
Bettina -Sounds so old-fashioned and frilly.
Baudouin -Yick.
Delphine -this is pretty. It's a street in the French Quarter of New Orleans, I believe. That's where I first heard it and always liked it. No, maybe that's Dauhphine. I like them both.
Edouard -Don't like this or Edward either.
Marine -This doesn't seem like an actual name to me.
Victoire - Victory or Victor?
Charles -I hate the name Charles and the nn Charlie.
Mahault (girl) -This sounds so manly to me.
Héloïse (girl) -I hate most H names on girls.
Augustin (boy)-Really like this one.
Clothilde (girl)-The -hilde part of this takes it from bad to awful.
Aure (girl)-I'd like Aura better.
Clément -Makes me think "cement"
Lucie -Love as a nn for Lucille
Amélie -This is pretty, but I like Aurelie so much better.
Cyriaque (boy) -I have no idea how to pronounce this and I really don't care to know either.
Stanislas -YUCK.
Marie -Prefer Maria. It's so much prettier.
Gérald -Don't care for this.
Anaïs -This is OK.
Jules (boy) -I've only seen this as a nn for Julia or Julie.
