[Opinions] Angela
This name is starting to grow on me. I know some might consider it dated, but I really like it. Opinions? MN suggestions?

I like itOne of my favorite teachers is named Angela and my mom's best friend has this name. So I have really good associations. Sorry, no MN suggestions though.

I love it. It was my great aunt's name who passed away this year. She never had any children and I would definitely consider using it in her honor.

I really like the name Angela. I've considered it for a daughter. I think it's a very strong name and I think of a gutsy, vibrant redhead (or otherwise bold hair). In the end I decided Roxy got that image across a little better for me personally. I don't know any Angelas, although I do know an Angie who could possibly be one. I actually think Angie is really cute. Angela Bryn

Its funny you mentioned Angela Lucille and Angela Sylvie, because my future mother-in-law's name is Lucille (Lucy), and my grandmother's name was Sylvia. :)

I also really like it, despite it's dated-ness. I only know two Angelas - one is in her late-thirties, another is fifteen. I really like Angela Lilac, even though there are a lot of L's in it. Other suggestions:Angela Margaret
Angela Charlotte
Angela Sophie
Angela Rachel
Angela Ruby
Angela Jane

I don't really consider it dated - maybe it is a bit '80s, I really have no idea. All I know is that it seems common enough among people my own age that I personally don't find it dated (this is why I speculate that it might be considered an '80s name, since you mentioned that some find it dated). It's not really my style and I actually find it kind of plain, but it's not a bad name. I like it better than any other 'Ang-' name.As for mn suggestions:Angela Cecily

it's okayTo me, though it isn't really dated, it has kind of a default quality to it. Like the person was pressed for time and low on ideas, but they didn't want to use Mary or Jane. Like a second-tier "default name" it fits in with Sarah and Jennifer.Angela DawnAngela MarieAngela RoseThose are all fairly standard combos with Angela.
