Three years ago, Wil and Bekah attended the wedding of their oldest son, Paul Alexander. Paul and Jessica met in college and married after their senior year. Paul works as a network engineer for a large database company and Jessica is a Kindergarten teacher. A year after they were married, Melissa Anne was born--Wil and Bekah's first grandchild! Paul and Jessica were thrilled to have a baby, and Paul was completely at ease with his small daughter--having been fourteen when Betsy and Ethan were born.
Shortly after Missy was born, Tali got married. Her husband, Jason, competed on the men's US Olympic team and Tali met him at the Olympics when she was competing. Tali herself competed in three Olympics--when she was 17, 21, and this past year at 25. She's finished competing now, however because she and Jason just welcomed their first child--Violet Faith Morrison! Jason too has retired, after three Olympics, and he's now going to school to become an athletic trainer. Tali plans to stay home with baby Violet and just enjoy her.

Jonas is now a famous skater and Eva is an actress. They have both chosen not to use their parent's last name, but create their own stage names - Jonas Caden (a very hard name to come up with) and Eva Gonzalez (she found the surname in their family tree and always thought her name had a Spanish feel to it). Emerson has been Jonas's girlfriend since they were 17. They are complete opposites - she always was what you could call a bookworm, and Jonas went out of his way to win her over - and he eventually did. After many years together they welcomed their first daughter, Rylis Lila. It was hell to figure out wich surname to give Rylis - Hillman-Burgess didn't feel right, with two names from the father and none from the mother, but Nevins-Hillman-Burgess was even worse - so they decided on the one that sounded better with her first name - Hillman. The rest of the family were supportive of their decision.
With Eva it was much different though. She was a fan of Joe's band, The Liars, and so, when they asked her to play a role in their most recent video, she immediately said yes. She played the lover of the lead singer, Bob Daniels. But she ended up with a crush on the guitarist - Joe Bryar. On the video's TV debut, she received flowers with a thank you note from the band, along with an invitation from Joe. They started going out and after two years and much media speculation, they got married. And just two months after Emerson announced she was pregnant, Eva discovered she was expecting aswell! So cousins Reylis and Brett were born just two months apart.
Helena, Zero and Alice are all interested in pursuing musical careers and love doing music together, but when Ian suggested that they formed an actual band they laughed at him - their musical tastes are too different. Lux is an aspiring writer. Like their siblings, they have all decided not to use their parents' last names. Especially in music, Hillman-Burgess would be too much weight on their shoulders.

Bill & Bailey cannot believe how fast their children are growing up. The twins are already nine years old! Bailey has recently started teaching a few dance classes in the evening at a local studio. She used to teach full time before she chose to become a stay at home mom. She is enjoying the few hours away every night. It has also been very strange to have most of the kids at college. Amelia and Emelie have just graduated from Eastern University. Amelia with a degree in Dance Education and Emelie with a degree in Music Therapy. Anna is in her third year at Penn State University studying Psychology. Lauren is at NYU pursuing Musical Theatre. Kate is at NYU studying Fashion Design; and Gabriela just finished her freshman year at Penn State University studying Spanish.
The biggest thing to happen in the last nine years has been the additions to their family. Both Amelia & Emelie have married. Amelia and Christian met at college on a mission trip to the Dominican Republic. They became very close friends and hung out often after returning to the states. Junior year he proposed to Amelia by the lake on their campus. The wedding was absolutely gorgeous. They married outside on Eastern's campus by the lake and the stone steps. One of the most beautiful moments of their wedding was when Amelia & Christian washed each other's feet. Their honeymoon was a cruise to the Caribbean. Five months later, they discovered Amelia was pregnant! Nine months after the wedding, little Kindred Micah was born. As you can well imagine, Bill & Bailey and all the sisters were elated to finally have a boy in the family. He has definitely been extremely spoiled. Amelia & Christian are living in Philadelphia where Amelia teaches dance to inner city children and Christian is attending seminary to become a pastor.
Emelie met Landon at college, too. Landon & Christian were actually roommates all four years! Landon was studying Music Education, so he and Emelie were in many of the same classes. Everyone predicted that they would fall in love, but Emelie & Landon insisted that they were just friends. However, after three years of being best friends, they realized there was something more. The Christmas of their junior year, Landon took Emelie to NYC where he proposed to her in a carriage ride around Central Park. They married after graduation in Emelie's home church. A year later, Jude Wyatt was born...another boy! Bill is thrilled to have two grandsons. Emelie & Landon live in Virginia in a suburb of Washington D.C. Emelie does musical therapy with patients at a nearby hospital and Landon teaches music at the high school.
