I've fallen in love with
Aemilia (I used to have a tentative like of '
Amelia,' but then I found this and realized that clearly the spelling had been all wrong). Besides, the pronunciation, if enunciated slowly, seems to be slightly different (read: better) than that of '
Amelia' - if you said it with any sort of speed, I have a feeling the two would sound exactly alike, though. Obviously as a first name there would be spelling problems, but I've got the same problem and while I complain about it sometimes, I honestly don't find it too big of a deal. Any combo ideas?
Aemilia Melisande?
Aemilia Hero?
Aemilia Cecily?
Aemilia Violet?
Aemilia Roselle?
Phoebe Aemilia?
Charlotte Aemilia?
I'm also really developing a taste for
Roman names in general, or names that have a very
Roman feel to them. I'm enjoying
Marcus lately, as well as
Silvana (listed as Italian, I know, but every time I hear it I think it sounds so
Roman). I've loved
Aurelia for a long time, and
Octavia's been on my PNL for ages, too. Also on my PNL are
Antonia,
Augustus,
Felix,
Juliana, and
Prisca. Any more suggestions? I've scanned BtN's lists of
Roman names, but they're quite short and nothing else really stuck out to me...but maybe I just need to hear some of those names again to get them to grow on me!
