Asher itself isn't very trendy or popular. The problem is that it sounds similar to a lot of trendy names even though it's legit. It's not terrible, though, and I could definitely tolerate and even learn to like the name Asher.Asher and Heidi don't quite work for me. I think it's because they're coming from two different but very recognisable origins. They're not terrible by any stretch of the imagination, though.

Mostly agree..it's similar to trendy names like Ashley, Ashton.. etc. The difference is, it's not a name I could grow to love I don't think.
