I know I am in the minority with this one, but I so cannot understand the appeal of Evangeline.

The emphasis on the VANGE syllable is the part that gets me. It's a really ugly sound.

Parts of it are nice. I like Eve, Eva, Angela, Angelina. Just not the full thing.

Sorry, but I really don't like it. I do understand the appeal of it, but it somehow sounds trashy to me. For me it's the "angel" part rather than the "vange" part. I just don't like the sound. Angel, Angelina, Angelica... but oddly I like Angela... hmm. I'm aparently insane.
