[Opinions] Diana
As you're probably aware theres a contestant on the X Factor named Diana, who's 17. I thought this name was a little strange for someone so young, but now it's grown on me and I quite like it.
What are your opinions of Diana?
Do you think it could work?

I know a 17-year-old Diana. She's awesome. :DI loooove the name Diana. It's in my top 5 right now. I don't see why it couldn't work. It doesn't seem dated to me at all, unlike Diane.

I like Diana and I think absolutely it could work! Lucky the little girl who receives the name of Diana. I think it's very regal and dramatically beautiful. I've recently begun to associate it more with the twin daughter of Gilbert and Anne Blythe from L. M. Montgomery's Anne series. (Her twin's name was Anne, but called Nan.)

I love Diana. It's a beautiful mythology-related name, which I really like, with nice meaning. And I also like the pronunciation Murasaki mentioned. Dee-ah-na.

It's ok, but reminds me way too much of Lady Di, who I've never liked. I prefer Diane. Also, for Diana I don't like the English pronounciation, as opposed to the Latin language one (Deeah-na).

It's pretty, and I see no reason why it can't work. Previously some here have said that it's too associated with the late Princess of Wales, but I don't think so. I can see a unique or very uncommon name such as Oprah, Sigourney, or Cher being too tied to a celebrity, but not an old classic name such as Diana.
