[Opinions] Joey
I have suddenly fallen in love with Joey. It could, quite possibly, take the place of Octavian on my favorites list. It's just so much fun to say! Joey. Joey. Joey! Hehe! *Cora ignores any comments as to her level of sanity at this moment* Anyway... What do you think? I don't like the name Joseph, so I don't think I could really use it.Oh, wait! Jonas is one of my most favoritest of names. WDYTO Jonas, nn Joey? I'm excited now. Do you guys think it'll work?(If you have time to spare and feel like coming up with Jonas "Joey" combos, I would be SO grateful to you!)

I quite dig Jonas Octavian.I like Joe quite a lot, it's sharp and smart. Oddly enough I don't associate it much with my dad, who is Joseph "Joe." And also oddly enough, I don't associate Joseph with him, but with Goebbels of all people, and it feels kind of evil to me. Even though I don't associate Adolf with Hitler. Just baffling.Anyway yeah, I like Joe. Joey's all right. Jonas is fun for nicknames. You would call him Joey, a lot of his peers would call him Joe, his teachers might call him Jonas, and I'd call him Jones.

Jonas makes a wonderful name for the name Joey (not one of my favs, but perfectly fine). I don't care for Joseph either.Other "Joey" names: Josiah, Jonah, Joel, Joachim

Thanks! This seems kind of backwards for me... Usually, people start with a name and find a nickname that they like. I seem to get attached to the nicknames and then try to find whole names to attach them to. Oh, well! *shrug*I like Josiah... *muses* But Jonas has been on my list for ages and ages... Hmm... *goes off to ponder deep thoughts about names... and/or find chocolate...*

Well Jonas is absolutly lovely. My only concern for that is that the Jonas Brothers Band is very popular right now in America. I love Jonah though, and doing a nursery in whales (jonah and the whale-from the bible) is too fricken cute, it's almost worth using the name)

Jonas "Joey" is absolutely wonderful. My little cousin is Jonah "Joey" and I really adore that. Still, replacing Octavian with Joey? What a leap! I do actually prefer Joey but I adore Octavia for a girl. How about:Jonas Alexander
Jonas Quentin
Jonas Nikolai
Jonas Reuben
Jonas Ezekiel
Jonas Bertram
Jonas George
Jonas Sinclair
Jonas Dashiell
Jonas Wilhelm
Jonas Nathaniel
Jonas Nikolai
Jonas Nash
Jonas Theodore
Jonas Leander
Jonas Arthur
Jonas Blake
Jonas Cillian
Jonas Kaiser
Jonas Ferdinand

Joey (Jonas)
Octavian
Jake (not Jacob)
Vitaliy
GilbertThey're drastically different, but I love all of them in their own special way... :-)

Jonas is cute and I don't like Joseph either (yet I love Josephine, very strange!).

I think it works. I remember before my step-niece starting referring to me as Joan Joan, she called me Joey. So if Joanie "Joey" can work, then it can with Jonas. hhhmmm ... can't really think of any combos, but Jonas Avery comes to mind.
