Tough call, I love them both. If I was choosing for myself, I'd have to go with Nathaniel as Nicholas is my cousins name. But for someone else, I can't choose!

I love Nathaniel as well but I like it as a mn. See, I hate all the nn's for it and I feel that they would be unavoidable so I would never use it as a fn.
These are actually the only boy 'N' names that I like.

Nicholas, it has such a classic pleasant feel. I hate the nn Nick though. Nathanael (I prn it nuh-THAN-ay-el) would be better than Nicholas, but I dislike Nathaniel (I prn it nuh-THAN-yul).
