Welcome, Evangeline!
Evangeline Hannah is an eight-year-old elective mute from Hartford, Conneticut. She has learning difficulties, anger management issues and chooses not to speak - instead she uses gestures and is learning to use sign language. She has red, curly hair and green eyes. Her mother died when she was five, and her father cannot be traced. She likes stuffed animals, music, cartoons and any animals, especially dogs.
Congratulations on your new arrival, and please update us on Evangeline's progress!

Evie is slowly adjusting into our family. She is having therapy because of her many problems and has already made some progress with her anger management issues. She still refuses to speak, but mainly uses sign language to communicate with us. Evie likes to play with our daughter Reese who is also non-verbal and they have quite similar interests. In the near future we're going to see a therapist who is an elective mutism specialist and we hope that she can help Evie with her communication problems. Evie has been very happy to find out that we have a dog because she loves dogs and has always wanted to have one.
