I love Ottoline! She is indeed very charming, light and bouncy. You have some amazing combos- My favourites are:Ottoline Beatrice, Ottoline Bertha (Bertha!), Ottoline Daisy (darling), Ottoline Dora (even more so), Ottoline Flora, Ottoline Frances, Ottoline Margot, Ottoline Primrose. Although there are quite a few more that I like too.I think that small and down-to-earth Frances goes the best with Ottoline.

Ottoline makes me think of an otter. As name associations go, this one is very strong; Ottoline is, unequivocally, a brown river otter.HOWEVER. I like the name Ottoline. I don't see it ever working for me in practice, not if I can't get over that otter thing, but I think it is so fun to play with and it really does appeal to my tastes. You have a lot of really great combos here, but my favorites are Ottoline Adele, Ottoline Cordelia, Ottoline Florence, and Ottoline Primrose. I'm especially fond of Ottoline Cordelia and Ottoline Primrose...gorgeous!

I have a soft spot for feminine, Odo-related names, like Odile, Odilia, Odetta (swan lake), Ottilia and yes, Ottoline. The last name is especially wonderful, because as a person who lives in Finnland (and here the name Otto is very popular) it looks like a very odd feminization of Otto. Like Balthazarine. :) Very sweet, friendly and kinda strong name.Ohh, how many brilliant combos! I think I won't have the energy to comment on each of these, so I'll just pick my favourites. Do you say AW-taw-leen, AW-taw-lien or aw-taw-LEEN? For example Ottoline Dorothea is flawless pronounced aw-taw-LEEN daw-raw-TE-ah, but by actually any other pronunciation it will get somewhat problematic. I guess the most "normal" pronunciation by an English-speaker is AW-taw-leen, so my favourites are marked from this perspective.Ottoline Bertha, Ottoline Blanche (how eye-catching!), Ottoline Cora (maybe a little dry, but still wonderful), Ottoline Elsa (so romantic and shining), Ottoline Erma, Ottoline Eustacia (the rhythm is good), Ottoline Flora, Ottoline Frances (Ohh, so old-British), Ottoline Hesper, Ottoline Margot (I find this delicious).:)

I think Ottoline is pretty.I like Ottoline Audrey and Ottoline Lucy.Ottoline Bianca randomly popped into my head. I kind of like it! I forget what Tippins liked with Ottoline, but if she were still here I expect she'd have a lot to say about it. :)

It's charming. I like Ottoline Elsa and Ottoline Cecily best. Otto is the name of my turtle :P and Elsa is my great grandma's, my grandma's, my mom's and one of my middle names :P

Ottoline Lucille sounds best.
I don't particularly like this name, nor do I particularly hate it. Because it's quite interesting and unusual, I think it would be quite good for a character in a story. It brings to mind a woman in her thirties, quite well-born, moral and a little bit stuck-up, but well-intentioned.

uhhhhhh.... I think that's better left as a GP... It sounds like car company lingo when you say it out loud...

I agree its not a very good name, GP is guilty pleasure and I think it sounds like Auto-Line instead of Ottoline

What are you talking about?

what is it you don't understand? GP is guilty pleasure (ie. names that intrigue you, but you'd never actually inflict on a person in real life)

IDK you are confusing me never mind. I was talking about the first post you got to your question.
