It sounds very cutesy and trendy. I agree with you: I'm surprised it's not more popular. I don't know any Keelys, but I do think it will sound dated like Kelly. I don't think the meaning or sound is anything special. It's just kind of a "blah" name for me. I like the look of Keeley better; Keely reminds me of "keel".
