The Great War started a year ago, and Anthony, being in the army, was sent into battle. In his absence, Michael has stepped up to be the man of the house: he left school so that he could get a job to support the rest of his family. Currently he's working in a medical clinic. William is eagerly awaiting his 17th birthday so that he can enlist and join the army like his father.
