The year is now 1940. Have you had any more grandchildren? You can have as many or as few as you want.
This will be the last round before we get to the great-grandchildren round. Round 12 will be the last required round. Then there will be an optional 1960s/1970s round, provided some people are willing to have their couples live long enough.
Events:
Hitler invades Poland in 1939; WWII begins. The US doesn't get involved until 1941.
Writing is required. Here are some ideas to help you:
1. One of your children dies in a car accident. If they have children, do you take them in?
2. One of the spouses' has an aged, widowed mother who moves in. How does life change?
3. Some of the couple's friends start saying anti-Semitic things, despite your couple has close Jewish friends. Does the couple stop them from talking like that?
4. If the country the couple lives in is at war, how are they dealing with things like rationing?
5. The husband of one of your daughters (if you have a married one) is cheating on her. Do they work it out or get divorced?
6. One or more of the family members gets really sick. Do they survive?
