Or this was the obit of someone you knew FROM Art School?
Sorry, I have to ask, because I too went to "art school" (fine arts university) and I'm always saying things like "You know, that guy. The guy from art school!"

The name appeared "School, Art H." I didn't go to art school. This is just one of those names that sounds like 'Ivana Mann', where it seems more like a punchline than a real name.
