[Opinions] Sroel and Solomon
What do you think of Sroel for a boy? I'm not big on the name Israel because I would like to move to Israel someday, and it would be like me naming a son United States. Weird. Anyway, your thoughts? FN or MN? Combos? Also, Solomon... IDK if I'm ready to use that as a FN, but I'm kind of liking it. Ditto its original form Shlomo (definitely a MN). Your thoughts and combos?

Sorry, I hate Sroel, Smadar, Shlomo, and a lot of other S+consonant names. Sroel isn't that attractive anyway, and neither is Shlomo. Those names make me think of middle-aged guys. Solomon's better than both but it's still nms, maybe it's too old, too. Anyway, I actually prefer Israel, especially if it's prn ees-rah-el, which I assume is the Hebrew prn.

Sroel looks incredibly awkward to be. Solomon is very nice! Shlomo is not my thing, it reminds me of the Dutch word for slow, and thus feels like calling your kid Slowy or something like that

Solomon is so much more attractive than Shlomo. I gated a guy named Gilli Shlomo once, and he was totally insecure about his middle name. Soloman is poetic and so much more musical.Sroel is not too bad - I would look at its status in Israel if I could - see what the feeling of the name is there. (I have been told that Yiddish, and presumably Yiddish names, are not seen favorably in Israel, but I could have been told wrong).

Also, of your combosThese are my favorites:Solomon Jacob
Solomon Daniel -- Daniel is growing on me as a MN, since I hate Danny and Dan but love Daniel.
Solomon Isaiah
Solomon Isaac
Solomon Adam
Solomon Emmanuel -- So cool!
Solomon Elijah
Solomon Micah
Solomon David -- I'd probably use Solomon and David as a sibset; so regal and strong!
Solomon Aaron -- Probably would use Solomon Aharon
