Help[Opinions] I know a Haidee (m)

She is in my college courses. I have to say, when I first heard her name I thought it was a made up spelling and pronunciation of Heidi. Over time, I came upon a book that had the name Haidee in it and found it was actually a really old name. It made me like it more, but the fact that it sounds made up bothers me.
