[Opinions] Noelle
Argh I know I've been posting a lot lately, sorry. I'd just really love your opinions on this name. What do you think of Noelle? I just fell in love with it.I'm a bit worried about a few things, though:Does it sound like "No, Elle" or "No L" or something like that to you?Do you think it's only appropriate for a Christmas baby? Would it be weird to have a little Noelle that was born in June?Do you prefer with the the two dot thingy over the first E or not?Do you pronounce it no-ELL or NO-el? I really want to stick to the French pronunciation. Is it too common in the middle position? How many girls with Noelle as her first/middle name do you know? If it's the middle name, what is their first name?Noelle, Luella or just Elle?

Does it sound like "No, Elle" or "No L" or something like that to you? Nope.Do you think it's only appropriate for a Christmas baby? Would it be weird to have a little Noelle that was born in June? I actually have a friend named Noelle (though she spells it Noel) who was born in June. So I have no qualms with it.Do you prefer with the the two dot thingy over the first E or not? I think it depends where you live. I would personally spell it without the dots because here in the US it would get left off most of the time anyway.Do you pronounce it no-ELL or NO-el? no-ELL. Is it too common in the middle position? How many girls with Noelle as her first/middle name do you know? If it's the middle name, what is their first name? I can't think of anyone I know with it as a middle name, and the only one I know who has it as a first name is the friend I mentioned (her name is Noel London).Noelle, Luella or just Elle? Noelle.

I like Noelle, I would probably only use it as a mn though.
It sounds like nothing but a name to me.
I would hate to see it on a Christmas baby. It's a name, it's not weird at all. It like saying you can't name your baby summer when its born in winter. I don't plan on naming my kids after when they were born, it's cheesy imo.
No two dot thingy thank-you.
I knew one girl with this as a mn. Brooke Noelle.
Between those three...Elle, as a fn. Noelle I would pick if I was picking my fave mn out of those three.

As I live in a French-speaking community, I like the no-ELL pronounciation.
I kmow a Noelle, a Noelline, and a few Noella. Most are Christmas-born,but I think it would be fine for any child, no matter when born.
I also know a few male Noels.

The nn for the name would be Elle, for sure. It does sound a bit like No L, but it doesn't matter. Definitely for a Christmas baby.

I like Noelle very much. It doesn't sound like No-L to me. I think that Noelle lost a bit that Christmas association, at least to me. It's kinda like Natalia / Natalie. It started out as a Christmas name, but now lost that association entirely. I for one wouldn't find a June baby called Noelle weird. That's your call. If you think that the accent is necessary to ensure you get the pronouncation you want for the name, go for it. If it's strictly for the beauty of it I wouldn't find it appealing. I pronounce it No-ELL (NO-el is the pronounciation for Noel, for mr at least).I don't know any Noelles personnally. And I prefer Noelle over Elle / Ella and Luella any day. Lea

It does not sound like No L or anything like that. No, it would not be weird for a June baby. Some would argue it is too much of a cliche for a Christmas baby.Personallu, I don't think the accent is needed unless you live in a country where it is usual to have accents and unless you were intending to pronounce it exactly how it would be said with it. no-ELL.I don't know any girls with the name Noelle as a first or middle name. I like Noelle better than flimsy Elle and frilly Luella.
