[Opinions] Jameson
Eighteen years ago, as my husband and I began our quest to become parents, we had said that we would name our son Jacob. We had four daughters and then when the son came, Jacob was the number one name in the U.S. We had wanted to use it since my husband's father was Jay--it was a tribute to him. We finally came up with the name Jameson and my husband joked that he had "Jay-my-dad and Ja-my-son."

I prefer Jamison. I can see how you can up with Jameson though. :)

Jameson whiskey...That's what comes to mind when I hear Jameson. I don't think it's a bad name. I quite like the look and sound of it but it's too surnamey for my liking. I much prefer James although I realise it might be bland compared to Jameson.

I like Jameson, and happen to think it ages very well, but I also have a very good association with it. But I'll have to admit I like James a bit better.

I'm not sure what you want to know. Are you asking for opinions on the name Jameson? I don't like it, sorry. I love James though.

I like Jameson - I have a cousin of about 15 with this name and it fits him well. It's pleasant and kind of sing-songy.
