The name is pronounced ['ge̯orge] (GEOR-ge: whith hard two G, the last E sounding as in Spanish and in the first syllable EO pronounced in a diphthong, unexistent in English, where the E is like the Spanish E but very short and the O is like the Spanish O).

That's a tough one....The only way I can come close to the actual pronounciation is
Gyo-rgy-eh. That's pretty close actually.ETA : the G sound is a G as in give not as in George.LeaP.S. I have Romanian heritage so it's pretty accurate.

It's pretty much flat in pronounciation, but I there is a little more stress on the first syllable. Lea

Ponounced that way it would be spelled Jorj in Romanian ;o). Hmmm that's a nice kree8tive spelling of boring old George don't you think ;o).Lea
