Help[Surname] surname roatsey
I have an acquaintance with the last name of Roatsey. I have been curious about this name because it is so uncommon (as far as I know) in the U.S.
I've done some research on the name. My friend tells me that the name is Hungarian in origin. The closest that I come to anything similiar in Hungarian is the word rõtes which means auburn or rusty.
I'm curious to know the meaning and exact origin of the name if anyone can help me.
