[Opinions] Bishop and Aspen
I was out today and heard these two names (Bishop = boy, Aspen = girl)... Bishop was unfortunate b/c all I could think about was the recent church scandal and Aspen, well, the place naming is getting out of control in my area. (Note: I realize Aspen is derived from the aspen tree, but I feel fairly certain that was not what this little girl was named for.)----Betsy-----

The religious pressure of Bishop is definitely not my taste. The guy will probably up an athiest with a name like that.
Aspen is pretty, but I can see it getting really popular.

I love Bishop for a boy.

Sound-wise, Bishop is nice. I expect they took it from the surname, not the title, but an ordained bishop is all anyone will think of. I have no idea what the recent church scandal was, but I guess we can all think of plenty of previous ones. So that's a downside :-(I like Aspen, though I don't like its beginning with "ass". I don't know enough about Aspen (the place) to associate the name with that. But I know what you mean about trendy place-naming._____________________________________________________________________Elinor'Why do people with closed minds, always open their mouths?'

I don't like Bishop, mostly because of the sound. It kind of gets stuck in your mouth when you say it.I think Aspen is very pretty-- I'll have to think about this one for a while. But, I'm kind of liking it.

I'm not a fan of Bishop but Aspen is a nice name. Unfortunately in the US it's permanently linked with the ski resort..."Les yeux sont aveugles. Il faut chercher avec le coeur." -- Le Petit Prince, Antoine de Saint-Exupery

I've never cared for Bishop as a first name. Aspen is nice (I tend to like nature names), but it seems easy to tease (especially the beginning of it).

Bishop is nmsaa.
I only like Aspen for a boy, but I met a little girl named this last week. She was the older sister of a girl named Lorelei (The first Lorelei I've ever met).
