[Opinions] Bishop and Aspen
I was out today and heard these two names (Bishop = boy, Aspen = girl)... Bishop was unfortunate b/c all I could think about was the recent church scandal and Aspen, well, the place naming is getting out of control in my area. (Note: I realize Aspen is derived from the aspen tree, but I feel fairly certain that was not what this little girl was named for.)

The religious pressure of Bishop is definitely not my taste. The guy will probably up an athiest with a name like that.
Aspen is pretty, but I can see it getting really popular.

I love Bishop for a boy.
Sound-wise, Bishop is nice. I expect they took it from the surname, not the title, but an ordained bishop is all anyone will think of. I have no idea what the recent church scandal was, but I guess we can all think of plenty of previous ones. So that's a downside :-(
I like Aspen, though I don't like its beginning with "ass". I don't know enough about Aspen (the place) to associate the name with that. But I know what you mean about trendy place-naming.

I don't like Bishop, mostly because of the sound. It kind of gets stuck in your mouth when you say it.
I think Aspen is very pretty-- I'll have to think about this one for a while. But, I'm kind of liking it.

I think that the name Bishop is handsome!

I'm not a fan of Bishop but Aspen is a nice name. Unfortunately in the US it's permanently linked with the ski resort...

I've never cared for Bishop as a first name. Aspen is nice (I tend to like nature names), but it seems easy to tease (especially the beginning of it).

I love Aspen! I descovered that name when I went to the Sanrio store in Washington DC! lol It was a girl's name so it's always been feminine to me :)
