Erik and Ylva are happy that their children are happy and healthy in America. Karin, Rike, and Andy (as Erik likes to be called--his "American" name) are all in school now and doing wonderfully. Johan and Jorgen enjoy playing outside with their younger brother Sven while the older kids are in school. Erik's furniture business is doing well, and Ylva is staying home to take care of all the kids.

DD: Virginia Cecile "Ginny" (15)
DD/DD: Estella Jane / Rosalie Augusta (10)
DD: Daisy Dolores (2)Lily's great-aunt Mamie passed away when Daisy was just a year old. Having remembered on her death bed the time and effort Lily put in to making her feel more comfortable, and knowing Lily's wishes for a fantastic life with her four girls, Mamie left her entire fortune to the Pike family. It is unsure what they are going to do with Mamie's estate. The most recent idea is to give the living to Ginny when she becomes old enough.

It was very heartbreaking for the family. On the bright side, Ashley’s general store has expanded and is doing incredibly well.
