[Opinions] Re: Lilia
in reply to a message by Lily8
I think Lilia is beautiful! I suggested it to my husband last week and he said, "I like Lily better." I would venture to say that a lot of people would shorten it to Lily, simply because three syllable names tend to get shortened to two-syllable nicknames. You're going to have pronunciation troubles with ANY name you pick. Most people will get it, because most people can read or at least will go with the preferred pronunciation once corrected. But I have an aunt named Maria who constantly has to correct people, and that's a fairly common name. I don't think it's too close to the names you listed, but I also don't consider those names trendy. They're mostly older, established and traditional names that are seeing a resurgence by people that dislike trendy (Ryleigh, Kamrynn, Nevaeh, etc.) names.I like Lilia Catherine and Lilia Eve. For me, Lilia is very elaborate and feminine and should be paired with something a bit more subdued. What about:Lilia Estelle
Lilia Francine
Lilia Gwyneth
Lilia Gladys
Lilia June
