I love this name! I always thought that a boy named Peregrine would make a good twin for a boy named Meriwether. They would be pranksters, with the nicknames Merri and Pip (or Pippin)! Pip/Pippin for Peregrine, of course.

You are very right about the twinset. I like to put Peregrine in a triplet set with Ferdinand and Constantine.
