[Opinions] Gia
What do you think of Gia for a girl? Pronounced JEE-ah? Do you know anyone with the name? Will it get common now it's a celeb baby name? It's also close to Mia so I worry it's trendy sounding and will get common. Do you think it's insubstantial? Do you prefer Gina over Gia?
What do you think of:
Gia Marie
Gia Maria
Gia Sofia
Thanks

I don't mind it, but I would prefer it as a nn to something. Regina?Giana?
I don't like Gia Maria and Gia Sophia because they sound too similar/rhyme-y. There's only minor separation between a repeat of the exact same sound.
In other words, I don't mind the names, but I'd prefer something like Gia Ana-Maria (an extra syllable in there).

I think I like it. I don't know anyone with this name. I didn't remember it was a baby name. I prefer it over Mia. It may be a little trendy but I don't think it has caught on yet. I doubt it will get common, but you might end up being a trend setter which is ok to be before the curve. I like Gia Marie the best, and I'm ok with Gia Sofia but I agree the rhyming isn't my thing. I don't like the name Maria and Gia Maria sounds like it should be a frozen pizza company name.
I think Gia will become more popular since Gianna is sort of popular and it has that short and cute sound to it. I didn't know it was a celeb baby, but if it is people will hear the name and that would certainly help its popularity. I think it does seem a little nicknamey, but wouldn't be too bad on its own. I do prefer Gina though-- I love Gina.
Gia Marie - pretty. Even though Marie is boring as a mn, it's a cute combo.
Gia Maria and Gia Sofia are too rhymey.
