I like the name
Guinevere, but it sounds too myth-y for a real person, in my opinion, so I was found alternatives. I think
Jennifer, the Cornish version is nice but way too over used, and I like the variant
Ginevra, but not after
Harry Potter;
Ginny is one of my favorite characters, so I would just feel weird if I were to use it for a child or a character or anything.
So, since
Ginevra is the Italian name for the city of
Geneva in Switzerland, I think
Geneva is a nice alternative with the NNs
Ginny and
Neva, but what do you think? I know it's a place name, which can be tacky, but the name has roots other than the city, so, in my opinion, that little possibilites of being tacky.
