Oh yes, Sisu is getting quite popular now... Seen plenty of little Sisu's in local birth announcements over the past few years. It's one of the newer 'word' names (meaning guts, strength, willpower: the ultimate "strong" name for a boy!)... I imagine it particularly wearable if the pregnancy/birth was difficult but the baby pulled through just fine.

Interesting! I never saw it used as a personal name, but I was well aware of the meaning. My best friend who came here to the US as an exchange student stayed with a couple (her host mom was part Finnish) who had a cat named Sisu, so I knew all about the word before I ever set foot in Finland. :-)
