[Opinions] Martha

Martha's my favorite girl's name!
I've never personally known a Martha, but I have an ancestor by that name! It's beautiful, and elegant, and I don't understand why people don't like it as much as some other classic biblical names.
I don't know what the future will be for Martha...but I know that if I ever have children this would be the name of my first daughter.

We have a couple of Marthas in the home. They are about 80 years old and not in very good condition, needless to say. It is for this reason that I cannot picture Martha on a bright-eyed little girl. It's 100% old lady to me.
My coworker's granddaughter will be Claire Martha
Martha being after my coworker. I didn't like it at first but now it's really growing on me.

I love Martha!
My great-grandmother was named Martha, and for a while I did not care for it, but now I really like it. I think it is charming, and ripe for revival, though I don't think it has ever been especially "undiscovered."
I think that Martha is coming back. I've seen it mentioned one or twice in birth announcements from the UK. I don't think it will be the next Emma though at all, so don't worry about extreme popularity.
I really want to like Martha. I like other names people lump in with this one - 'frumpy' and 'old' names. But I just don't really. :(

I love Martha, but I don't think it will come back. Oddly enough, the only Martha I ever remember knowing is a rather famous one, Martha Davis, of the 80s band, The Motels.
I really like it. I think Martha is a great name that fits a baby/girl/woman of any age very nicely.
I don't know anyone with the name.

It's okay. I like it more now that I've met a woman named Martha who's only 6 years older than me. I think she's the only one I know (I feel like there must be older women too, but maybe not), but I do definitely think it could make a comeback.
I like it! It's very sweet and domestic. I think it could come back if this old-fashioned trend really takes off in the future, but I can't see it ever getting all that popular. I don't think I actually know anyone named Martha.
I like it - it's short and sweet and not too cutesy. The only Martha I've ever met was American and in her thirties.
I don't care for it. Unless a nick name is used, I can't see it on someone below the age of 30.
I love the name Martha, it was my grandma's name and I love it. It's classy and charming and soon I think it'll become more popular though, but not too soon--maybe withing the next decade or two, though that's not that soon.
The only Martha I know was my grandma, and also, I love Mara as a nickname.
