My name is Catherine and I've always loved it. It fits me more than Katherine or Kathryn, and I've met far fewer people with my own name than other variants of it. Of course I've known several other Catherines, but I was always the only one in my class. Nearly all the Katherines/Kathryns I know my age go by Katie, which I know a TON of.

I honestly don't see Catherine moving into the top 100 any time soon. People seem pretty happy using the K varieties for now.

I've always despised Cathy. I don't mind just 'Cath,' but my preferred nickname (if any, though I generally just go by Catherine) is Kitty.
