I do really like Amelia, but my husband doesn't. I don't like the way Amelia sounds in Spanish or Portuguese though, and that is how most of our family will pronounce it.

I don't really care for the "-meal-" sound in Amelia.

I prefer Emilia. Emiliana is even prettier.

I prefer Amara to Amalia.
