[Opinions] Re: Some spelling/pronunciation questions...
in reply to a message by Lily8
KAY-lee: Kayleigh is what pops into my head, although I don't like how it looks. I like the looks of Kailey, Kalie, and Kayley much better.KATE-lyn: I think of Katelyn or Caitlin. I like Katelyn, Caitlin, and Kaitlin the best.HAY-lee: I always spell it Haley, and only like it spelled this way.KAY-lyn: Kaelynn is what I think of because I know a Kaelynn, but I like Kalin, Kailyn, and Kaylin the best, I think.Haley is HAY-lee to me. Kaley is KAY-lee. Katlyn and Katlynn are KAT-lyn.I would say Cateline as KATE-line.I pronounce Caitlin as KATE-lyn, even though I know that's not how it is supposed to be pronounced traditionally. I see nothing wrong with pronouncing Caitlin as KATE-lyn.I'm really not a fan of Cateline. Sorry :(I am very neutral about Haley and Kailey, and I like Katelyn/Caitlin. Kailyn is growing on me a lot. I just can't find a spelling that I actually like.I know a Haley, a Hayley, and a Hailey. I know several Kaitlyn/Katelin/Kaitlin/Katelyn/Caitlins. I know one Kalie and a Kaelynn/Kalin/Kailyn. (When I give multiple spellings, it's because I know at least one person with each of those spellings.
