I've heard it pronounced several different ways.
Cal-lum, Cal as in California or Calvin
Call-um, rhymes with ball
Cay-lum, where the Ca is said like Caleb.
Which is the right way? I'm in America, if that makes a difference as far as accents and pronunciations go.

I'm in the U.S. as well, in Washington State. And I've only ever heard it pronounced this way. The surname McCallum is pronounced this way so I'm surprised anyone would say it any other way. I don't doubt you, it's just a surprise.
There's always the Calum spelling, which might solve the "call-ball" thing.

Callum's a very popular name in Scotland and the first one is the only way I've ever heard it pronounced.
