Joanna Madison is an eleven-year-old from Louisiana. She has been shuffled around in foster homes since she was eight, when her parents lost custody of her due to alcoholism and drug abuse. She is very excited but nervous to be moving to a permenant family at last. She likes to write short stories, sing, and act and would like to be an author one day. She is also quite good with animals and has two kittens, Molly and Jolly, both female.
Sofia Isabel is a six-year-old girl from Nevada. Her parents recently died in a factory fire, leaving her orphaned with no family to take her in. She is a very outgoing little girl and loves to play dress-up and make-believe. She has a very big imagination. She also likes movies, especially Disney moves, and swings.
Jacob Brady is a five-year-old from Pennsylvania. Until recently he has been cared for mostly by his twenty-three year old sister Erin, but when she recently lost her job she was unable to take care of him. Jacob is very sad about this, but when he was told his new parents would let him keep in touch with his big sister he cheered up. He is a very active little boy and loves to play football. He also loves hamsters and has one named Flip.
Kendra Imogene is a three-year-old girl from London. She was severely neglected by her parents, and still has some lingering effects from that. She is still underweight and underheight for her age, though she is making progress, and she does not move around as much as she should because malnourishment made her weak. She is a happy child though, and gets along well with other children. She likes playing with dolls and stuffed animals, drawing with crayons, and playing ball.

Two year later
Joanna, Sofia, Jacob, Kendra and Emily are doing very well. Joanna has enrolled in a writing class and her teacher says she is a very promising young writer. Sofia has become great friends with Willow, who loves having a playmate with the same interests. Jacob was the saddest child at first, greatly missing his sister. However, he surprising connected the most with Poppy and Ashley. Poppy reminds him of Erin. Kendra has gained weight and is much healthier. We are grateful that she is better, though she had to spend a month in the hospital. She and Sean are friends now, they are like twins, with Kendra following Sean around everywhere. Emily has become our little ray of sunshine. She is always smiling and is never angry or cross. She loves her big family. Emily is always talking about something new and when ever there is music, Emily is dancing around the house!
The pets are also well. Molly and Jolly are finally friendly with Maggie. And none of them have eaten Flip yet! Emily quickly learned to be gentle with the dogs, after an unfortunate incident.
Thank You for giving us our lovely children,
Rose, Freddy, Poppy, Lily, Willow, Sean, Ashley, Joanna, Sofia, Jacob, Kendra and Emily

Lily Veronica is a five-year-old from Liverpool. She was given up for adoption at a year old by her teenaged mother, and since then has been shuttled around foster homes. She is excited to finally be getting permenant mommies as well as siblings, and has been busy drawing pictures of her new family. She is very outdoorsy, and loves playing outside. Her current foster family has started her on gymnatics lessons, which she loves and would like to continue them. She also has a pet hamster named Fluffball.
Natasha Aleksandra is an eighteen-month-old baby girl from St. Petersburg, Russia. She can toddle around and say a few words. The women at the orphanage she has been living at have been teaching her a few English words to prepare her for her English mommies. She is already quite a little showoff and enjoys being the center of attention, but she is a very happy little girl and usually well-behaved.

She is already quite a little showoff and enjoys being the center of attention, but she is a very happy little girl and usually well-behaved.
It's been four months since Lily and Natasha came into our lives, and we couldn't be any happier. Lily is continuing her gymnastics lessons, and her teacher says she's quite talented. Lily now dreams of being a professional gymnast, but she also wants to 'draw pretty pictures' like mummy Lucy. Lucy has been giving her a few tips on drawing and painting, and Lily follows them religiously. We've also enrolled her in the local girls' football team, since she loves the outdoors so. Despite these activities, Lily still loves to play with Fluffball and spend time with Natasha. Both girls adore each other, and it's like they've been together their whole lives.
Natasha is almost 2 now, and she's an alarmingly quick learner. She runs around constantly, mostly following Lily wherever she goes, and has ended up with scraped knees more than once. Natasha also picked up English pretty fast, and she can already speak it as well as the neighbour's 2-year-old. Her favourite word is "Look!", almost always followed by a chubby finger pointing at herself. She loves attention and has a very keen fashion sense, as well as a deep dislike for the colour orange. Natasha loves to parade around the new clothes Lucy makes for her, and she says she wants to be a princess when she grows up. She loves her big sis and Fluffball, and is very affectionate with everyone in the family.
Thank you so much for giving us our bundles of joy.

Mathilde Esther is a five-year-old from Rotterdam. She and her little brothers and sister recently lost their mother to cancer. Their father took off soon after Willem was born, so they were left alone. Mathilde is very advanced and responsible for her age and is very good at taking care of her little siblings. She also likes reading picture books, school, and the color purple, and she loves to dance. She would like to be a ballet dancer one day.
Benjamin David is Mathilde's four-year-old younger brother. He is Mathilde's right-hand man, always willing to help her take care of their little siblings. He is almost never still and is curious about everything. 'Why' has recently become his favorite word, and he can't wait to start school.
Adriaan Jakob and Annika Mirjam are two-year-old twins, younger brother and sister of Mathilde and Benjamin. They are partners in crime, often getting into trouble with their curiosity. They especailly like playing with their blocks, and they love music and animals. They like to be sung to at bedtime.

Filip Emil Wronski is fourteen-year-old boy from Warsaw, Poland. His parents were killed when he was eight, and for the last six years he has been shuffled between foster homes and orphanages. He has a damaged left leg from the car crash that killed his parents, causing him to walk with a noticeable limp. He is very sensitive and loves music and reading. He is also very good with young children, having helped with them in the orphanage he lived in. He would love to bring his dog Berta, a female mutt puppy, with him.
Teresa Nicole and Annabel Grace McCourt are eleven-year-old fraternal twin girls from the Seattle area. They were recently discovered living in a squalid apartment with their mother's boyfriend. Their mother, addicted to painkillers, died last year in an overdose, and her boyfried had been their legal guardian ever since. He was an alcoholic and often beat and abused them emotionally when he was drunk. As a result, they both have trouble trusting men. Teresa is a great athlete who loves soccer, softball, and horseback riding. She also has a bit of a girly side and loves to shop. Annabel is quieter and a bit of a loner. She likes cooking, is a gifted sketch artist, and loves animals. She adopted a stray female kitten she named Mimi.

Filip has adjusted well. It took him a considerable amount of time to open up to anyone about the events that happened after his parents' deaths, but he eventually did. He spends a lot of time in the living room sitting by a window and reading. He loves to play sports with Morgan and Thomas, and he is always up for a game of hide and seek with Magdalena. Filip looks up to Damien and often goes to him for advice.
Teresa and Annabel also adjusted well. Teresa was initially more outgoing than the cautious Annabel. She often takes part in soccer games that Filip, Morgan, and Thomas play. She plays dress up and house with Magdalena, and the two often create fingerpaint masterpieces. Annabel prefers to stay near to Teresa. They share a room. After we noticed that the girls often fell asleep in the same bed, we replaced their small twin sized beds with one full sized bed. Annabel can be found sitting in random places sketching the rest of the family. At first they both refused to go anywhere near Damien, and they often stayed in their room. After a few months they began to cautiously trust him. In time they grew to adore their new uncle, and the girls have taken immensely to their cousin Magdalena.
We thought it best for Filip, Teresa, and Annabel to each separately see a therapist to talk about their traumatic experiences. The sessions seem to have helped all three considerably.
Berta and Mimi have also been great additions to the family. All the children love having a cat and a dog to love and play with. Mimi sleeps curled up between the twins every night. Berta is very protective of Filip and can always be found near him. Mimi and Berta get along surprisingly well with each other seem to act a lot like close siblings!
Thank you for completing our family by placing Filip, Teresa, Annabel, Berta, and Mimi with us!
