WDYTO Melania nn Lani? pronounced mel ah nee ah (i've also heard me lahn ya). Also, what are some other possible nn's (other than Mel, because i'm not a fan of it).It's strange i love this name, since i really don't like Melanie!

I looove Melania (pronounced Meh-LAH'-nee-ah)!I know it's not an exact match to the name, but I love Mila (Meela) as a nickname.

I've never been that fond of Melanie either, but I love Melania. It's one of those names I always forget about and fall in love with each time I hear it again. Lani is ok, but how about Meli or Nia?

I dislike Lani as a nn so very much - I don't know how it happens, but every girl I've met with the name Lani/ Laney etc has been simply dreadful and boorish. Melania is very lovely though. If you're not keen on Mel, how about Mia, Nia, Mimi, or Milly?
