I say TAY-oh. I've never met anyone with that name, so I can't say what way I've most often heard it. But based on its origin I'd imagine TAY-oh is the correct way to say it. I think it's an alright nickname for Theodor/Teodoro or Matteo, but too nicknamey to be on its own.
