Dislike. It sounds nicknamey and ditsy. I don't know if I could take someone named Maisie seriously.

1/10I absolutely hate Maisie. It's become quite popular in the UK. It's very cutesy and childish.

I do like it but I also think that it is one of those names that really wouldn't fit many people.

I'd give it a 3. It's really popular and trendy where I live.

I really do not find that it is insubstantial because of all of the Lilys there are now, a name which is REALLY insubstantial.I occasionally dabble in diminutives.

0, if it's possible. Maisie sounds like a name for a cow or cat. Some pet names work equally well for humans, some don't and I feel like Maisie is one that doesn't. I much prefer Margaret.

1. Not only does it sound utterly childish, but it reminds me of "mayonnaise." I really don't like it.

I really like Maisie. I never ever see it, it's old school and fun, a little light-headed, but still great. I'd give it an 8.5.I'd pair it with something more serious to temper it.Maisie Margaret (even though they are from the same place... come on, they look nice together)
Maisie Francine
Maisie Roberta
Maisie Eliza
Maisie Priscilla
Maisie ChristinaI don't know, my combo abilities are broken today :(
