[Opinions] Aveline
What is your opinion of the name Aveline?
I love this name I think it is very pretty. Also it is close to my grandmother's name, Evelyn, and so if I ever used it then it would sort of honour her.Do you think it would look out of place on a child? What do you think of Aveline Gladys? Gladys was my other grandmother's name.

I, too, love this name and I have Avelina as a middle name in one of my combos :) Aveline Gladys is very pretty plus nn options could be Ava, Avie, and/or Lena.

I like it and think it would be fine on a child. Aveline Gladys is sweet, and I love the idea of using two family names.

I quite like itIt's pretty and unique while still being simple and not a mouthful. Aveline Gladys is a nice combo and I like that you would be honouring both of your grandmothers :)

I like it quite a bit. I think it might get confused with Adeline or Eveline a lot, though. Aveline Gladys is an ok combo.

Aveline has been on my mind lately, so it was a neat coincidence to see it on the boards today. I think it's lovely. Many other old-fashioned names have come back into style, so I don't think it would look out of place on a child. I'm not really a fan of the name Gladys, but it flows nicely with Aveline. I'd be more inclined to use Claudia or Claudette as a middle name. I think they would both work considering that Gladys has been used as a form of Claudia in Wales.

I much prefer Aveline over Evelyn. I don't particularly care for Gladys, but I like that the combo honors both grandmothers.

I know a girl called Avleen, and it's really pretty. Aveline is nice too :D I don't think it will look out of place, considering Ava is in fashion right now. Aveline Gladys is lovely.

It's a GP..
I think it sounds quite modern and trendy, so that's why I have it as a GP.
I dislike Gladys sicne it's very dated...
Maybe Avelyn/Avalyn could be another suggestion? Or Avril?

Oh, I adore Gladys. I'd love to meet a little Gladys one day. :-)Aveline reminds me of Vaseline and Valvoline, sorry. But Evelyn is terrific. Evelyn Gladys, perhaps? Much more likely to stand the test of time.
