I have only ever heard
Elena as "eh-LAY-nuh."
I dislike the Elaina spelling because it looks like a mash of two separate names:
Elaine (English) and
Elena (Spanish). Elaina looks like it's cheating.
C'mon. You can trust the rest of us to know that
Elena is "eh-LAY-nuh." *Helpful* phonetic spellings put me off, usually.
ETA: I should have noted that I live in the U.S., if that makes a difference to you.
