Merryn sounds male to me, and Mairin = Maureen. To get the sound, I'd probably go with something like Maggie's suggestions below.

Mirren (Scottish, form of Marion, pronounced MIR-en)
Mirain (Welsh, means 'lovely', pronounced MI-rine, to rhyme with vine)
