[Opinions] Abraxas?
Don't know why but recently i can't stop thinking about the name Abraxas for a boy. My sister says the name sounds like "a black cat", so what do you think? Is Abraxas usuable for a human being or is it more a pet name? Or is it to "magical"? Will people assume a boy named Abraxas stepped right out of a Harry Potter book? Also what do you of those combosAbraxas Asher
Abraxas August
Abraxas Atticus
Abraxas Finn
Abraxas Felix
Abraxas Oliver

Yes, the name Abraxas sounds very "magical", but not in the Harry Potter way. When I first saw the name on my computer screen, I thought of an ancient Egyptian god -- very powerful stuff here. Id' say it was useable as there are options for nicknames. As for combos? Well, to me it would fit to have an equally exotic middle name... maybe.

I think there was an Abraxas Malfoy mentioned in HP, so I can imagine that. I think it sounds better for a cat, too. It's also an album by Santana. On Wikipedia, there's also something about gnostisism, a demon from Charmed, a moth, and a computer virus. You might want to rethink using it for a son.

If you can name your daughter Princess, then you can name your son Abraxas. But yes, it sounds like a black cat. I prefer it as a MN. Out of your combos I like Abraxas Oliver the best.
