I've met a few, but one stands out. I find the name highly sentimental and would rate it no higher than 2/10.

I love the look of Melody and its meaning. I also like its relative freshness. My reluctance to being totally won over by Melody is that it may be perceived as a hippy, unrefined, unintellectual name. I'd rate it 7/10 and would be much more likely to go with the similar yet more elegant Melanie. Still, I'd be truly happy to see either on a young girl.

7. Dated, a little precious, but I love the sounds in it and the meaning is alright. Although I think of it as a spinoff from Melanie.

I haven't personally met any.

It seems very sweet and down to earth to me. I'd give it a 7. I know two Melodys. One is in her late 30s and the other will be 23 tomorrow.

ETA: Both Melodys that I know are very sweet and down to earth, so maybe that's why the name gives me that impression.

I like it, but I wouldn't use it. I do know a lady named Melodie.

Melody is ok, maybe a 6 since I dont hate it but it wouldnt ever be a first choice. ive never known any Melodys, but I did know a Harmony. she was cool, and i always thought the name was a much cooler alternative

I know one Melody, but I'm not sure if she spells it Melody or Melodie. She is the daughter to one of my mothers friends.
