Do you prefer the Russian pronounciation of Tam-UH-rah or the English Ta-MAR-uh.

I prefer the English ta-MAR-uh, but personally I pronounce it ta-MARE-ah. Otherwise, it sounds like it's spelt 'Tamara'.

I'm more familiar with the midwest USA Ta-MARE-uh.

To be honest, I don't really like any of the pronunciations - this is a name I just can't warm up to.
