"belle" being added to everything. Taking a short and light consonant-vowel-consonant-vowel female name and adding "belle" is like gilding a lily or putting a silk hat on a pig, whichever way you feel initially about c-v-c-v's.
How I feel about them kind of depends on the root they're attached to, I guess. Corabelle sounds quite rural although it doesn't have any of the charm as some other names with a "country" feel (like
Mamie or
Annie or almost anything with the middle name
Jean). It's like an attempt at elegance that falls short and just ends up a little vulgar.
Almost like Clarabelle Cow with the bow and heels and lacy collar...on a cow.
