very nice. Its different, I love the African connection and sound to it yet it still works well as an English name. It sounds sophisticated yet young and fresh! Beautiful!

Afia is nice. But I'm not sure if I'm pronouncing it correctly. Do you know if it's "ah-FEE-uh" or "AH-fee-uh," or some other way?
Afia reminds me of Aina, "EYE-nuh." I forgot it's meaning, but I think it's one of those negative meanings designed to confuse evil spirits. I love African meanings. If they're not trying to confuse evil beings, then they are telling us something about the birth, like Afia. Fun.
I have a small section on my long list for African names. I'm always looking for more and I'll definitely add this one. Thanks!
